The Last Thing...

That we cheered to:

Not owing Uncle Sam more than $40! We almost didn't put an offer on the house that we are now closing on in a few days because we did our taxes back in January and we found out we owed quite a grip... Praise God we didn't back out! It definitely paid to have someone do them for us professionally this year! P.S. I strongly dislike you, H&R Block!

[headband by Pink Lemonade]

That I ate for breakfast:

Scrambled eggs, orange juice in a margarita glass, bowl of strawberries, slice of toast with Triple Berry preserves (currently at Costco, it's the bombdigity)

That I read that made me laugh so hard I almost peed my pants:

A birthday card from one of my BFF's, Sara-- my previous boss who knows me so well. Yes, I had a real-life moment like this card. I actually walked out of the bathroom and into the corporate office with toilet paper dangling from my tights.... yay me.

That I bought:

A maxi dress for this preggo. I was running errands and was so uncomfortable in what I was wearing that I ran into Nordstrom Rack and this sucker saved the day. It's so wonderful, you almost feel naked... but better. My hubs isn't the biggest fan. But oh well, I'm going to wear it anyway-- because gosh darn it, it really is so comfortable!!

That I watched on TV:

"Bethenny Ever After"
Loved her on "Real Housewives of New York." Loved her book, "Naturally Thin."
Love her Skinny Girl margaritas. Love her personality. Love her transparency.

Love, love, love. I think we'd be real-life BFF's.

That I did with my parents:

We hiked the cliffs overlooking the ocean in Torrey Pines (San Diego, CA) on our trip home last weekend-- it was such a beautiful day!!! I love my family!

That I had to eat on a date night with my man:

Tacos, rice & beans with chips & salsa (holy pregnancy heart burn!). So tasty!!

That I got in the mail from my momma:

How cool is this? It's a nifty little contraption that helps you get the most out of your toothpaste! I noticed my mom had one on her last visit out here, and I expressed interest in one, and lo and behold! One arrived in the mail shortly after. My mom is so thoughtful like that! It's the little things.

That I stared at in awe:

The beach. And the Hotel del Coronado in San Diego last weekend. It really does take your breath away. Joshua and I got married in Coronado. It will always have a special place in my heart.

That I bought at Target:

I know that our baby girl won't use this for quite some time, but I mean, seriously?
How could I pass up this plate? So adorable.

That I cut open:

Fresh, sweet pineapple. Did you know that if you leave the pineapple upside down for a few days it becomes sweeter and more tender? I ate the whole thing in two days. Soooo good.

That I got in the mail for baby girl:

Sweet gifts from Much Love Illy and Red Dress Studio. How sweet are they?!! I can't get over those tiny baby shoes. And those handmade headbands? She'll be rockin' those beauties straight out of my womb!

That I craved really bad:

Joshua and I saw rootbeer floats in a movie a few weeks ago and we HAD to have some. I really do believe that your spouse gets pregnancy cravings, too. Within 5 minutes, he was in the car. Thank you, husband, for saving the day.

That I received in the mail from a friend, just because:

My pen-pal Sarah sent me this pregnancy care package. It was seriously one of the most thoughtful things anyone has ever done for me. We've been pen-pals since we were 13, thanks to "Brio" magazine at Focus on The Family hooking us up all those years ago. We've met in real life, and communicate consistently. She's a treasure.

That I read:

"The Hunger Games." DUH!

Linking up with sweet Jenna from The Life of the Wife!!

I'm SO impressed that you still keep up with your Brio pen pal :). And I've heard it said that men in general aren't big fans of maxi dresses - too bad because they're soooo comfy and cute! Also, I love all the little goodies you've been getting for baby girl :)

I love the dress on you! About hating H&R block, my hubby and I have gone there the past 3 years and have not have great results either, where did you go instead that changed your amounts you owed, because I always feel like something isnt always right when we go there because we seem to always owe more then it seems we should, plus having to pay like $200 to get it done, yuck!

Oh yum! Tacos, rice and beans are my absolute favorite meal! Hands down! :)
I can see where hubs wouldn't like your dress... You're comfortable in it... They seem to veer away from things that make us feel comfortable. Like sweats! Losers... hahaha!

as i read though this post, i couldn't think of how full your life seems at this moment. so many things for you to experience, so many people, preparations, adventures. i mean, i know your glass is only half-full, but for you to recap soooo many beautiful things in one post just means you must be overflowing with joy. i am happy for you :)

and congrats for not owing much. we owe a lot (um, that may be my fault for not realizing my federal taxes weren't taken out for ANY of my jobs last year. ooops.)
