I know I should probably be blogging in chronological order, but I haven't had the time to finish gathering the photos from the first couple of days of our trip to Florida. On the very last day, Joshua and I ventured down to Miami and The Florida Keys with just the three of us (my parents and relatives stayed back in central Florida). I didn't take a lot of pictures in Miami unfortunately (these are all only of The Keys) but it was a really amazing city. There were massively high condos right on the beach which was an electric light shade of blue. The city was filled with bustling energy. We enjoyed lunch in South Beach at a Cuban restaurant before continuing our adventure south.
It took us a few hours to get down to The Keys because of a few wrong turns and city traffic, but we made it around 2 PM. We enjoyed some time at a small, secluded beach in Islamorada (Eden loved sitting in the warm water but was not a fan of the sand, ha!) and a wonderful dinner at Islamorada Fish Company, right on the water, where we indulged in Key Lime Pie, of course! I often found myself flooded with memories from being there when I was a kid with my family. It was so surreal to be there with two people I had often prayed for... my husband and my daughter!
This trip was definitely one of the highlights of our vacation. Cheers to picture overload!
